SafeTIC's DOC defibrillator for Hockley Health Club

Hockley Health Club, formerly Cullys Gym, in Hockley Essex, has seen the installation of the DOC® defibrillator from SafeTIC.

The club, owned by Mo Robinson, has over 500 members and a large proportion of these are people with long-term physical disabilities or those recovering from heart attack, stroke and other illnesses.

With a growing requirement for exercise facilities for those recovering from heart surgery or heart attack, Robinson realised that an onsite defibrillator was an absolute necessity, not only for peace of mind for his clients but also for the staff and trainers working with them.

It was also an absolute requirement for the cardiac rehab club if Hockley's was to host its sessions.

Key in the choice of the DOC®defibrillator were the support systems that DOC® provides, the product training from the British Red Cross and the ongoing service and maintenance facilities.

When deployed, the DOC® system automatically triggers an alert and makes contact with an experienced helpdesk operator provided by Mondial Assistance, a world leader in remote medical services.

At the same time, a GPS signal gives the operator immediate notification of the exact location of the patient and a call to the emergency services is made.

The move follows the installation by SafeTIC at the club a couple of years ago of its biometric secure entry system.
